Dr. Michael Versaggi is honored to reflect on his recent retirement after an incredible 48-year career at Versaggi Dental. For nearly five decades, he had the privilege of caring for his closest friends, family, and colleagues as their trusted dentist. While he steps back from daily practice, you may still see Dr. Mike around the office from time to time. Dr. Versaggi is delighted to pass the torch to a wonderful team who will continue the Versaggi Dental legacy, and looks forward to seeing familiar faces return to the practice for many years to come!
Dr. Shelby Hall
Dr. Shelby Hall is a St. Augustine local who is proud to be back home caring for patients in the community that helped shape her. A graduate of the University of Florida College of Dentistry, Dr. Hall brings several years of experience to the practice and a warm, thoughtful approach to patient care.
Dr. Hall enjoys helping patients with everything from maintaining a healthy smile to restoring teeth and rebuilding confidence. Her experience includes crowns and bridges, clear aligners, root canals, dental implant restoration, and surgical procedures such as extractions. Rather than focusing on just one tooth or one problem, she believes in looking at the bigger picture—helping each patient understand their oral health and creating a plan that supports a healthy, confident smile for years to come.
Known for her friendly and approachable personality, Dr. Hall wants patients to feel comfortable, heard, and confident in their care. She especially enjoys building relationships with her patients and looks forward to caring for their smiles through every stage of life.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hall is excited to be settling back into her hometown, where she and her fiancé look forward to building their future together. She is thrilled to once again call St. Augustine home and looks forward to building and maintaining healthy smiles alongside the friends, families, and neighbors in her community.

Dr. Alex Rustia
Dr. Alex Rustia is a compassionate dental professional at Versaggi Dental. As an Allen D. Nease High School alum, he’s honored to provide exceptional care to the community he calls home.
Dr. Rustia’s expertise includes oral surgery, dental implants, crowns, bridges, and endodontics. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of New England and completed a General Practice Residency at University Health Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. He holds certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and is working toward an IV Moderate Sedation Permit, enhancing his ability to manage a wide range of cases with skill and care.
With a background in providing care to underserved communities in Maine and New Hampshire, Dr. Rustia is passionate about making a meaningful difference in his patients’ lives. Known for his friendly and approachable manner, he strives to ensure every patient feels comfortable and confident in their care.
